About the Speaker

Who is Jason Staiger?

Jason Staiger is the co-founder and managing partner of Legacy Marketing, a Kamloops-based door-to-door organization he launched in early 2020 and grew into one of Western Canada’s top-producing sales teams.

He’s scaled teams across two industries, security and pest control, trained hundreds of reps, and coached five Golden Door Award winners in about five years. Jason is the force behind one of Canada’s highest-producing D2D teams. His high-output D2D teams are powered by his belief in treating recruiting like selling, which he introduced to the participants at D2DCon Canada.

A former top rookie at Vivint, he built Legacy through Smart Haven/KNOK in smart-home security and Avayda in pest control, where he’s now focused. He ramps new reps fast with a 30-60-90 system, leads culture-first, and has been featured on The D2D Podcast (Ep. 479).

Why It Matters

Why Jason Staiger Matters for D2D

  • He treats recruiting as a sellable skill, not a numbers game you hope works out — same funnel, same stages, tracked daily
  • He built one of Western Canada’s top-producing teams from scratch, starting in early 2020 in a tough, multi-season market
  • He develops leaders, not just reps — five Golden Door Award winners came off his team in about five years
  • He teaches inputs over outcomes: the daily doors-and-conversations habits that pull reps out of slumps and keep them producing

What Jason Speaks On

Signature Stage Programs

This is how Jason Staiger translates years in the field and one of Western Canada’s top-producing D2D builds into practical frameworks your team can act on — recruiting, ramping reps, resilience, and performance under pressure.

People-First Culture

Culture drives performance. Bet on people first: turn individuals into leaders, leaders into owners, and teams into a legacy.

Deeply Knowing Your Reps

Know three things about every rep outside of work, plus their real why and end goal, before you try to coach them.

Recruiting for Character

Why work ethic, coachability and a positive mindset outrank raw sales skill — and the questions that expose each one.

Pulling a Rep Out of a Slump

A three-step reset: 30 to 50 doors a day tracked, 15 focused training minutes, and one piece of pitch feedback.

Steal the Playbook

Four frameworks you can run with your team today.

1) Recruiting = Selling

Why: recruiting runs the same funnel as selling — book, show, close, start.

How to run it next week:

  • Track book → show → close → start daily.
  • Booked interviews are the KPI, not applications.
  • Script the pitch: value, proof, offer, start date.
  • Run a 10-minute recruiter stand-up: numbers, target, objection.
2) 30-60-90 Rep Ramp

Why: a written ramp makes reps field-ready in two weeks, not two months.

How to run it next week:

  • Days 1–14: script reps, 20+ mock objections, one in-home watched daily.
  • Days 15–30: micro-territory plus 3 KPIs — doors, sits, closes.
  • Days 31–60: certify on the full pitch and take one mentee.
  • Days 61–90: promote on the scorecard, then harvest referrals.
3) Day-1 Territory Blueprint

Why: removing decision fatigue keeps rookies in front of doors.

How to run it next week:

  • Pre-pin walkable zones in 90-minute loops — no over-driving.
  • Split doors odd/even plus side streets, so there’s no guessing.
  • Pair every rookie with a closer for their first 5 sits.
  • End the day with 2 wins and 1 fix.
4) Recruiting Content Engine

Why: candidates vet you online before they ever book an interview.

How to run it next week:

  • Film daily huddles and cut them into Instagram and YouTube Shorts.
  • Post a weekly “Why This Career” piece and track link-outs to interviews.
  • Go live 30 minutes a week on recruiting questions.
  • Turn alumni wins into Reels for the site and LinkedIn.

FAQs

Common Questions

What’s Jason’s single biggest idea?

Recruiting is a sales skill. He runs recruiting through the same funnel as a sale — book, show, offer, start — and tracks each stage daily instead of hoping bodies show up.

How does he ramp a brand-new rep?

A 30-60-90 system: scripts and mock objections in the first weeks, micro-territory ownership and daily KPIs next, then full-pitch certification and a first mentee by day 60, with promotion decided on the scorecard — not a gut feel — by day 90.

What does Jason stand for as a leader?

Culture over flashy tactics. His stated mission is turning reps into leaders and leaders into owners, and he believes loyalty and culture beat gimmicks every time.

What does he look for when he recruits?

Three things: work ethic, coachability and mindset. Attitude over résumé.
